So apparently the problems with Comcast were, in fact, caused by the DNS servers. Apparently, in their infinite wisdom, comcast decided to update all of their DNS servers at one time. Even I, a simple geek and IST student, know that’s a bad idea. You’d think a company would have enough people to figure that out. Thanks to this post over at CAD‘s forums I know what’s wrong and can easily put some of those DNS servers into my resolv.conf to avoid future problems. Anyways, I have to go read about Media Freedom, Regulation and Ethics for my Mass Media & Society class…so that’s all for now :P
