Thanks to SoulSe for pointing out that the Google Reader plugin for Wordpress is broken. For one reason or another, when it creates the list of recently shared articles, it doesn’t properly add the link to the article. Instead, the href field is left empty in the code, so the browser (I assume) automatically fills in this empty link with the current page’s URL. I haven’t looked too closely at the code, so I’m not really sure what the problem is – but looking at other sites using the plugin, it seems I’m not the only one suffering from it. I’m going to have to sit down, look at the php code and see if I can figure out where the error is. If I can’t figure that out, then I’ll see if I can bug the original developer to fix it – though that’s less likely. So, until that’s fixed, you’ll have to go here if you want to see my shared stories.
